Intensive Russian Attacks Eliminate Power In Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities under attack in the region
The country's energy systems have come under increased attacks in the past few days

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have caused blackouts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were wounded while residents in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and encountered problems to drinking water, according to local authorities.

Simultaneously, a minor was killed in a different aerial attack in the southeastern region in the southeastern part, according to area administrators.

Moscow has intensified strikes on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while the country's government has requested "substantial measures" from allies to exert influence on Russia.

"What's needed is not window dressing but firm measures - from the US, the EU and the Group of Seven - in providing protection systems and implementing restrictions," was stated in a online statement.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty missiles attacked the country's power systems, characterizing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were striving to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes hit energy infrastructure and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Several of the people wounded in the strikes on the capital have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by city authorities.

Area administrators said the urban area experienced significant strikes throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child lost their life and three other people were injured.

The strikes succeed evenings of aerial attacks in the territory, parts of which remain under the control of Russian forces.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to identify.

Authorities told reporters that Russia was deliberately attempting to destroy the country's energy grid, with strikes already impacting gas facilities.

Officials stated energy workers and authorities were anticipating further attacks.
